Just letting regular readers and subscribers know that I’m taking a brief break; hopefully no more than ten days to two weeks. There is a lot of drama going on here in the United States right now, particularly on whether or not our fragile democracy is going to continue past this week, and to be honest, I am more than a bit stressed out over it. So, I’m giving myself a few mental health days to bite my nails, await the outcome, and de-stress afterward.

I certainly have a few topics in mind for November—and for the rest of this year—but until this election business is behind my country (whatever the outcome), it’s terribly difficult to stay focused on sci-fi/fantasy/horror and other diversions right now, so I’m taking this (hopefully) short break to regain my focus, recharge my mojo, and return soon to doing what I enjoy most; taking deep dives into select movies, TV shows and other bits of cool, geeky business that I look forward to examining in-depth here again, very soon.

In the meantime, my archives are filled with nearly 8 years and 773 columns on all sorts of subjects; including reviews, retrospectives, firsthand reports on conventions and whatever else tickled my imagination since this journey began for me in early December of 2016, right before I turned 50.

Thanks for your patience, dear readers, and I hope to reward it very soon. This is not goodbye, only a brief break.
